Fast fashion: the impact
-
There are 92,000,000 tonnes of clothes-related waste each year. That looks like: a rubbish truck full of clothes reversing into a landfill site - every second.
-
93% of brands surveyed by the Fashion Checker aren’t paying garment workers a living wage.
-
The textile industry is one of the worst to exploit women. 80% of global garment workers are women, and paid some of the lowest wages. Some are even unpaid.
Slow fashion: the movement
We're making a real difference - one thread at a time.
Sustainable materials
Our clothing is made from Tencel - a fabric made from tree pulp, which comes from sustainably-harvested forests. Each piece is made-to-order (by hand), to prevent any waste.
Plus, your package will land on your doorstep in a carbon neutral, biodegradable bag.
Capsule wardrobes
Imagine a curated collection of clothing that can be mixed & matched perfectly. That's what a capsule wardrobe is all about. It's minimalist, clutter-free, and a step towards a sustainable future.
The best part: with our reversible pieces, you technically get two items for the price of one. Plus, we've got you covered (quite literally) with our double-layered garments. No see-through mishaps - just fab quality.
Gaia Garments
No sweatshops, no nasty practices. Just lovingly made clothing, created by our talented seamstresses.
From the bottom of our hearts, we want to say "thank you" for supporting a woman-owned, purpose-led business.
